A major change in how Fremont's government operates is close to being put on the November ballot.
City Council is getting ready to decide about placing an initiative before the voters regarding Fremont becoming a “charter city” rather than continuing as a "general law" city. It's a big change, and just the election entails significant costs.
We wanted to alert all our Villagers who live in Fremont to this important initiative so you can learn about it and consider attending the City Council meeting on July 7. You can attend in person or on line: Watch or attend Council meetings.
Public Hearing: Residents have a chance to listen, ask questions, and express their opinions at the next Council meeting on July 7.
