Kick off the new year with good food, warm company, and plenty of holiday cheer! Join us for a relaxed and welcoming social at our local Skillet’z Restaurant, where great conversation meets comforting flavors. It’s the perfect chance to reconnect with friends, meet new faces, and start the year on a positive note. A buffet style dinner will be provided, so come hungry and ready to celebrate new beginnings with us. We look forward to sharing a memorable start to the year—together.

Enjoyable Patterson House Tour

Our recent visit to the local Patterson Family Farm was a memorable one. We were welcomed by a sunny day and a beautiful, peaceful farm setting that made it easy to slow down and enjoy the moment. Beyond the scenic views, we learned about the rich history of the Patterson family and the resilience that shaped the farm we see today. One story that stood out was how Clara Patterson stepped up to run the farm after her husband’s passing, carrying on the family’s legacy with strength and determination. It was an inspiring reminder of perseverance, community, and the enduring spirit behind this special place.

Our Helping Hands team connects service members with volunteers for friendly visits, short walks, and other simple acts of kindness. While we usually match requests quickly, we’ve recently seen a surge in members looking for a companion for a short stroll or a friendly chat.
