Why write a memoir? Enjoy the reliving of your memories. Pass on the treasure of your unique life perspective. Appreciate your accomplishments for a sense of completeness. Tell your story and leave a legacy.
Our two-hour monthly meetings, coordinated by Villager Jan Quilici, fly by. We typically spend the first 30 to 45 minutes doing a short exercise and reading aloud what we have written. We might concentrate on increasing our writing skills in areas such as dialogue, description, and storytelling. The balance of the time is usually spent reading aloud something we have written prior to meeting and commenting on each other's pieces.
