Enjoy conversation and walk-away sundaes. At 2:00 pm, hear George Roeding speak about his fascinating history with the California Nursery Company and the contributions of his amazing family to horticulture. Their vast holdings throughout the state included citrus, fig, and olive orchards in Southern California as well as several growing fields in the Central Valley.
 The story of the California Nursery spans over a century, involves great personalities such as Jose de Jesus Vallejo, John Rock, Luther Burbank, and our speaker, George Roeding. It includes historical events such as the 1893 Columbia Exposition, development of Golden Gate Park, the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, and the Golden Gate International Expositions of 1939 and 1940.
