"Rabbit, Run"

The GNV Book Club

Two-time Pulitzer-Prize winner John Updike's first novel, Rabbit, Run, will be the topic of discussion. Richard Gelbard will lead the group. The Washington Post hailed this work for its brilliance, charm, and insight.  Updike unspools a poignant story about Harry ("Rabbit") Angstrom, "a 26-year-old...man-child caught in a struggle between instinct and thought, self and society, sexual gratification and family duty...."
